How to Use: Traditional Gucchi Pulao Recipe

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup HeavenNuts dried Morel Mushrooms
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp ghee or oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 cups water

Preparation Steps:

  1. Soak dried morels in warm water for 1–2 hours. Rinse thoroughly to remove any grit. Reserve the soaking water.
  2. In a pan, heat ghee and sauté cumin, bay leaf, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
  4. Add soaked morels and sauté for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add rice, salt, and the reserved soaking water (add plain water if needed to make 2 cups).
  6. Cover and cook on low heat until rice is fully done and fluffy.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Serve hot.
